The SB-prefix Mark V magnum action features nine locking lugs and was produced in the United States during the 1995–2002 period. It is a right-hand bolt with an internal box magazine and a hinged floorplate, providing a 2+1 capacity. Receiver markings include "MARK V" and "U.S. PATENT NO. 3,013,355."
The 26-inch stainless steel barrel uses a heavy contour with longitudinal flutes and a threaded muzzle. It is fitted with an unbranded two-chamber, side-ported brake. The barrel is marked "USE ONLY 30-378 WBY. MAG. (WEATHERBY MAG.)," and the overall metal finish is stainless/satin to match the receiver.
The receiver is drilled and tapped, and a scope mount is installed. The bolt knob is polished, and the action retains the classic Mark V profile and operation associated with its magnum, nine-lug configuration from this U.S.-made era.
The aftermarket composite stock is finished in a black/gray textured pattern and adds a vertical-grip profile, adjustable cheekpiece, beavertail forend, and a hard textured buttplate. Sling swivel studs are installed (two front, one rear), and the length of pull is 14.0.
