What’s Included
- Savage Super-Choke adjustable choke/compensator (installed)
- Ventilated recoil pad (installed)
The 28 inch plain carbon-steel barrel is fitted with a Cutts-type Savage Super-Choke adjustable choke and vented compensator, giving the gun a distinctive period configuration. A single bead front sight is mounted on the compensator, with no rear sight.
Built as a pump-action with right-side ejection, this Model 820B uses a fixed tubular magazine with a 4-round capacity and a cross-bolt safety. It is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells, aligned with common 12 gauge loadings of its era.
The hardwood stock features a pistol grip and an added ventilated recoil pad, while the classic ribbed corncob wooden forend provides a secure grasp. Both the barrel and receiver wear a traditional blued finish, and the bolt body appears in-the-white.
Markings include a circled "E" date code on the barrel shank corresponding to 1953 and a "PROOF TESTED" barrel rollmark. The gun is marked for Chicopee Falls, MA production under Stevens (Savage Arms Corp.), reflecting its mid-century U.S. manufacture and pre-1968, serial-exempt status.
