The 3914 LadySmith pairs a compact, single-stack 9mm format with an aluminum-alloy frame and a blued/black slide. Unloaded weight is about 25 oz, offering a solid yet streamlined 3rd-Generation build with a 3.5 in barrel and 8+1 capacity.
Controls and operation reflect S&W’s 3rd-Gen design: a DA/SA, short-recoil, locked-breech action with a left-side, slide-mounted safety/decocker and an internal firing pin safety. An exposed spur hammer provides clear visual and manual control of the action.
LadySmith-specific frame details include a forward-slanted dust cover, a rounded trigger guard, and frontstrap checkering. The one-piece wraparound black synthetic grips feature S&W medallions for a secure and consistent hold.
Sights are fixed, low-mount with a white dot front, and the slide includes rear cocking serrations. This example was made in the USA and dates to approximately 1990–1991, a short production period that makes the LadySmith variant less common than the standard 3913/3914.
