This German-made Sig Sauer P245 Compact is a Classic P-series .45 ACP designed as a downsized derivative of the P220. Built on the Classic P-series foundation, the P245 Compact delivers .45 ACP performance in a streamlined, single-stack format. Its non-railed dust cover and 3.9 in barrel keep the profile trim, while overall dimensions of 7.28 in length, 5.0 in height, and 1.34 in width make it well-balanced in the hand. Approximate weight is 27.5 oz without a magazine.
The P245 uses a DA/SA, short-recoil, locked-breech Browning-type action. A decocker and internal safety suite—firing-pin lock, intercept notch, and disconnector—provide familiar P-series operation. Controls include a left-side magazine release, a curved trigger, and a spur hammer, with rear slide serrations for confident manipulation.
Sights are fixed, dovetailed, with a rear that is drift-adjustable for windage. The 5.7 in sight radius supports precise alignment. The barrel features six-groove rifling with a 1:16 RH twist, optimized for standard .45 ACP loads.
The aluminum-alloy frame wears a hard-anodized finish, paired with a matte protective finish overall. Pebble-textured grip panels carry the SIG SAUER logo on the left and P245 on the right.
