This 1973 Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 is a classic N-frame .357 Magnum with a desirable 5-inch heavy, pinned barrel and bright nickel finish. It features a hand-checkered topstrap and barrel rib, Baughman pinned ramp front sight, and S&W micrometer adjustable rear sight. The revolver retains its target stocks with S&W medallions and showcases forged, hand-fitted lockwork rooted in the lineage of the 1935 Registered Magnum. Condition is very good with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

Built on the S&W N-frame with a square-butt grip frame, this Model 27-2 pairs a 5-inch heavy barrel with a partial underlug (ejector-rod shroud) for balanced handling. The yoke cut is marked "MOD. 27-2," and the 6-shot fluted cylinder is finished to match the bright nickel frame and barrel.
Iron sights include a pinned Baughman ramp with a plain, serrated blade up front and an S&W micrometer adjustable rear. The barrel and topstrap are hand-checkered to reduce glare, and the backstrap is serrated for a secure hold.
The action is double-action/single-action with forged, hand-fitted lockwork. A smooth-faced trigger and a wide, checkered hammer spur round out the classic controls. The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and also fires .38 Special.
Markings include "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side of the barrel and "S.&W. 357 MAGNUM" on the right. Checkered hardwood target stocks with S&W medallions complement the bright nickel carbon-steel construction.
