Built on the Anschutz 64 action, this Match 64 series rifle is configured as a dedicated smallbore target gun with single-shot feed for consistent cartridge alignment. The 26-inch heavy-profile steel barrel uses a recessed target crown to protect the rifling at the muzzle.
The receiver is cut with 11 mm dovetail grooves, and the barrel is fitted with two target scope blocks. Precision sights are installed: a hooded/globe front and a micrometer-adjustable rear aperture/diopter equipped with a rubber eyecup.
The purpose-built hardwood target stock adds practical competition features, including a wide beavertail forend, a vertical pistol grip, and an Anschutz-pattern accessory rail with a hand stop/palm stop installed. A checkered hard buttplate and textured/stippled grip panel support consistent shoulder placement and control. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Finished in a classic blued treatment over steel receiver and barrel, this example carries West German proof marks and is marked "Made in West Germany" with the Savage Arms Westfield, Mass., U.S.A. import legend. The configuration and included sights make it a straightforward choice for traditional smallbore target disciplines.
