Built by the Performance Center, the TRR8 combines a scandium alloy N-frame with a stainless steel, 8-shot cylinder featuring scalloped flutes. The result is a revolver that balances capacity and strength with a listed weight of approximately 35.3 oz and an overall length of about 10.5 inches.
The two-piece barrel system uses a 5-inch tube and a Performance Center-marked, skeletonized ejector-rod shroud. The frame, topstrap, and shroud are drilled and tapped for detachable top and bottom rails; the rails are not installed on the gun but the factory mount kit is included.
Sighting is handled by a pinned, interchangeable gold-bead front sight on a tall base and an adjustable rear sight, giving clear, precise sight alignment with durable iron sights.
The double-action/single-action system is Performance Center tuned for refined operation. Additional features include an internal lock and a Hogue one-piece black rubber finger-groove Monogrip with molded S&W logos (no metal medallions) for a secure, consistent hold.
Finished in matte black, this U.S.-made revolver carries S&W Performance Center details throughout, including the marked barrel shroud and factory configuration consistent with SKU/mfg part number 170269.
