The ZPAPM70 follows the Yugoslav/Serbian M70 lineage with a stamped 1.5 mm receiver and an RPK-style bulged front trunnion. This configuration is a hallmark of the platform and contributes to the model’s recognizable build characteristics.
It is chambered in 7.62x39 and uses a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt. The rifle retains standard AK sighting equipment with a tangent rear sight and a protected front post.
The 16.3 inch chrome-lined barrel supports durability and ease of maintenance. A manual safety selector is present, and capacity is listed at 30+1 with the included magazines.
Factory polymer furniture includes an Archangel adjustable, telescoping stock with a rubber buttpad and a 12.0–14.5 inch adjustable length of pull. A Hogue polymer handguard and TangoDown pistol grip round out the ergonomic upgrades. The rifle features a Yugo-pattern left-side optics rail, and it bears the ZASTAVA ARMS USA DES PLAINES, IL import mark. Country of origin is Serbia.
