The AXIS II action uses a right-hand bolt with two opposed locking lugs for secure lock-up. A tang-mounted sliding safety with a red fire dot provides intuitive control, and the bolt release is positioned at the right rear of the receiver. The detachable box magazine offers a 5+1 capacity in .223 Rem, with right-side ejection and a right-side loading port.
The 22-inch sporter barrel features a recessed, unthreaded crown and a uniform matte finish. This configuration is designed for practical accuracy without added bulk at the muzzle.
A gray polymer stock provides durability and all-weather utility. Textured grip panels and a textured fore-end aid control, while a rubber recoil pad adds comfort at the shoulder. Sling swivel studs are installed front and rear, and the length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
The receiver is drilled and tapped, and this rifle comes with a one-piece Picatinny scope rail already installed. A separate set of two-piece scope bases is also included. The rifle has no factory iron sights. Made in the United States.
