The 92X Performance is built around a steel Vertec-style frame with a straight backstrap, extended beavertail, and front and backstrap checkering. An integrally beveled magazine well supports smooth reloads, and the pistol wears Beretta’s factory Nistan matte gray finish with a contrasting black barrel and controls. Unloaded weight is approximately 47.6–47.7 oz, contributing to a stable feel on target.
The DA/SA action uses the Xtreme-S trigger system with about a 40% shorter reset for quick follow-up shots. Controls include an ambidextrous, frame-mounted manual safety and a skeletonized ring hammer. The locking system is the proven 92-series short-recoil design with a falling locking block.
The Brigadier-style heavy slide features front and rear serrations for confident manipulation. Sighting is fast and precise with a dovetailed red fiber-optic front and a black, fully adjustable rear sight. A 4.9 inch steel barrel is marked "PB - 9x19," and the dust cover incorporates a 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail.
Markings include "BERETTA GARDONE V.T. MADE IN ITALY," "BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK., MD," and the PB monogram. The frame is marked "FIRES WITHOUT MAGAZINE" and "READ MANUAL BEFORE USE," and the serial number is also stamped on the barrel hood. Capacity is 15+1 rounds with 92-series magazines.
