This Elite-series P226 is a full-size, DA/SA, recoil-operated, locked-breech 9mm with a 4.4-inch barrel and 15+1 capacity. The slide is finished in stainless and features both front and rear cocking serrations with an external extractor for positive extraction.
The frame includes an extended beavertail for a secure, high grip, along with a checkered front strap and under-trigger-guard serrations for added control. An integral accessory rail with three slots supports common weapon lights and accessories.
Controls are classic P226: a left-side magazine release and a decocking lever for safe, deliberate DA/SA operation. The short reset trigger (SRT) provides a notably brief reset to speed up precise follow-up shots.
Sights are dovetailed, fixed 3-dot units with a ramped front blade and a squared rear notch, offering a clear, durable sight picture. Two-panel checkered wood grips with SIG SAUER branding pair with the exposed spur hammer to complete the Elite configuration.
Factory markings include "P226 Elite" on the slide, "9MM PARA SIG" on the barrel hood, and "SIG SAUER INC., EXETER-NH-USA" on the frame. The included magazines are double-stack steel with witness holes marked 5/10/15; one is stamped "MADE IN USA," another "MADE IN ITALY," and the third magazine’s country of origin is not legible in photos.
