It accepts Glock-pattern 9mm double-stack magazines and ships with one Glock OEM 15-round magazine and two Magpul PMAG 15 GL9 15-round magazines, all in a Ruger/Magpul co-branded hard case.
The RXM's striker-fired action uses a flat-faced trigger and integrated safety features, while the stealth gray polymer frame keeps weight down and handling consistent. Forward and rear slide serrations, an external extractor, and 1:10 RH rifling round out a feature set designed for practical performance and easy setup with common red dots.

The RXM's modular architecture centers on a removable serialized stainless-steel fire control insert, offering a robust internal chassis within a polymer frame. This design was co-developed with Magpul and provides a durable receiver core paired to a stealth gray frame.
The slide is cut for direct-mount optics and supports multiple footprints (RMR, DPP, RMSc), allowing red dots to sit low enough for co-witness with the steel sights. Forward and rear serrations aid manipulation, and an external extractor supports consistent ejection.
Barrel construction is alloy steel with a black nitride finish and 1:10 RH twist. The 4 in length balances sight radius and carry dimensions, while the bore and rifling are set up for clean, precise performance.
The striker-fired system features a flat-faced trigger for a straight pull. Safety features include a trigger safety and an internal striker block. The pistol will fire with the magazine removed, as it has no magazine disconnect.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, the RXM carries 15+1 rounds and is compatible with Glock-pattern double-stack magazines. This example includes one Glock OEM 15-round magazine and two Magpul PMAG 15 GL9 15-round magazines and is designated by Ruger as part number 19400.
