The frame is date-stamped '54 and bears the military 'rid' code marking that indicates CZ Strakonice production in Czechoslovakia during the 1950s. An underside import stamp reads "CZ-52 7.62x25S CZECH REP," documenting later importation.
Construction is all-steel with a matte gray finish on the frame and slide. The long, faceted slide presents a narrow ejection port, and the pistol wears fixed iron sights with a front blade and rear notch for a straightforward sight picture.
