Sighting equipment is a highlight: dovetailed steel sights with a tritium front dot surrounded by a white outline, paired with a drift-adjustable rear wide U-notch with a serrated face. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor.
Construction focuses on durability and carry readiness. The 2.8 in alloy steel barrel is through-hardened and finished in black nitride, matching the slide’s black nitride finish. The black, glass-filled nylon frame wears textured polymer grips with Ruger phoenix logos and shows a recessed serial number window on the right side. The frame is marked "RUGER MAYODAN, NC • USA."
The internal hammer-fired, single-action-only Secure Action fire-control system provides a short, smooth pull with a positive reset. A bladed trigger safety is incorporated. The pistol will fire with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect). The barrel uses 6-groove rifling with a 1:16 RH twist. There is no accessory rail.
