The MR762 A4 uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston action with a two-position regulator marked "N/S" for Normal and Suppressed, visible through a window in the handguard. The system is designed to run cleanly and reliably while offering a quick, tool-free switch between settings.
Its 16-inch barrel is cold hammer forged and threaded 5/8x24, capped with a multi-prong flash hider. A 1:11 RH twist supports a wide range of 7.62x51 projectiles. The bore presents a mirror finish with sharp rifling, consistent with the listed condition.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety, magazine release, and bolt catch, and it features an extended ambidextrous dual-latch charging handle. A crisp two-stage trigger contributes to predictable shot control.
The slim free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard integrates QD sling cups and a continuous T-marked top Picatinny rail. Furniture includes a slimline, 9-position collapsible polymer stock and a polymer pistol grip with stippled panels. The rifle wears a two-tone earth scheme with olive/green aluminum receivers and brown/tan handguard and furniture. Import marking reads "Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus, GA."
