Built by Auto-Ordnance (Kahr Arms) in the USA, this TM1 is a faithful, semi-automatic reproduction of the M1-style Thompson carbine. The receiver is marked "THOMPSON SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARBINE CALIBER .45M1" on the right and "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION, GREELEY, PENNSYLVANIA, U.S.A." on the left. It operates via a closed-bolt blowback action in .45 ACP and uses a Parkerized/phosphate-finished steel receiver.
The 16.5 in steel barrel is smooth and non-finned with a plain muzzle. Sighting is via fixed iron sights: a blade front on a pinned base and a fixed "battle" rear sight. The M1-style receiver lacks drum-magazine feed cuts; it accepts stick magazines only, and drum magazines are not compatible.
Controls include a right-side charging handle, right-side ejection port, and a manual safety. Capacity is 30+1 with the included 30-round stick magazine. The configuration mirrors the straightforward M1 pattern for dependable handling and operation.
