The PT 92 AFS is a full-size 9mm built on a stainless-finish frame with a matching stainless slide and barrel. Its 5-inch barrel and 15+1 capacity deliver the classic service-pistol configuration many shooters prefer.
The slide uses the open-top 92-pattern design with a locking-block short-recoil system. It has rear slide serrations for charging and anti-glare serrations along the top, and the dust cover is clean and non-railed.
Controls are well laid out, including a left-side push-button magazine release and a smooth curved trigger. The exposed spur hammer supports precise DA/SA operation.
Safety features include a frame-mounted ambidextrous manual safety with a red fire indicator, and it is capable of cocked-and-locked carry. A lanyard loop at the rear of the grip provides an additional carry option.
Sighting is straightforward with a fixed rear notch and a front ramp that includes a colored insert for quick pickup. Checkered wood grip panels with Taurus medallion inlays provide a traditional look and a solid hold.
