It features a 20 in heavy-walled, Parkerized, cylinder-bore barrel with a bayonet lug, a receiver-mounted Picatinny rail with an adjustable XS Ghost Ring rear sight, and an AR-style protected front post. Capacity is 8+1 with 2.75 in shells, and the chamber accepts both 2.75 in and 3 in loads. It comes in excellent condition with a clean, mirror-finish bore.

The 20 in heavy-walled steel barrel and Parkerized finish reflect the 590A1's rugged specification. The barrel uses a cylinder bore and includes a bayonet lug. The receiver is anodized aluminum with a metal trigger guard and metal safety.
Magpul furniture sets this variant apart. The SGA stock provides adjustable length of pull, and the MOE forend includes M-LOK slots for direct accessory mounting. Length of pull is user-adjustable from 12.25–14.25 in (currently 14.0 in as configured).
Sighting is fast and precise with the XS Ghost Ring rear mounted on the receiver Picatinny rail and an AR-style front post with protective wings. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rail offers straightforward mounting options.
