What’s Included
- Western Field Model M550ABD 12 gauge pump-action shotgun
Built for Montgomery Ward by O.F. Mossberg & Sons, this Western Field M550ABD mirrors the Mossberg 500AB pattern and the AB-series double action bars update. Made in the United States and marked "MADE IN U.S.A.," it has right-side ejection and an alloy receiver finished in black.
The 26-inch plain steel barrel is paired with Mossberg’s factory C-Lect-Choke, an externally adjustable, ported choke with index lines. This adjustable choke gives on-the-fly pattern control, and the barrel is chambered for both 2 3/4- and 3-inch shells.
Controls and furniture are straightforward and functional: a tang safety with a red indicator, a hardwood stock with a straight comb and pistol grip, and a grooved wood forend. Length of pull measures 14 inches. Sight picture is traditional with a front bead.
Capacity is listed as 2+1. The finish is blued/black across the barrel and receiver, aligning with the clean, purpose-built layout of this 1970s pump gun.
