This 940 Pro Tactical uses Mossberg’s gas-operated action and a fixed tubular magazine rated at 5+1. The magazine extends to the 18.5 in muzzle and is secured by a Mossberg-marked barrel/mag clamp that features accessory slots. The barrel is part of the Accu-Choke system and is fitted with a Cyl choke. The chamber accepts both 2 3/4 in and 3 in shells, meeting the request for a 3 in chamber.
Controls are set up for confident operation: an extended, knurled charging handle and an oversized bolt-release pad speed manipulation, while a bright orange magazine follower provides quick visual confirmation during loading. An ambidextrous tang safety sits at the rear of the receiver for intuitive access.
Sighting is simple and fast with a red fiber-optic front bead and no rear sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics mounting, giving you the option to add a compatible sight if desired. Both the receiver and barrel wear a matte black finish.
The black synthetic stock has molded texturing for grip, a ventilated recoil pad, and a 13.5 in length of pull. Sling attachment points are provided at the butt and via the barrel/mag clamp.
