The heart of this AR-15 platform rifle is its 16-inch barrel made from 4150 CMV steel. It is cold hammer forged, chrome-lined, and finished in phosphate with a government profile for durability. The barrel is threaded and fitted with an open-ended, crenellated multi-prong flash hider with long longitudinal slots.
A mid-length gas system supports balanced cycling, while the Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 free-float handguard keeps weight low and accuracy potential high. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, it features M-LOK slots for accessories, integral QD sling sockets, and a full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail with T-marked slots.
The upper and lower receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with the factory Mil Spec + brown finish on both the receivers and handguard. The bolt carrier is laser-marked with the Daniel Defense logo (the bolt itself is MPI marked), and the rifle is made in the USA.
Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and an ambidextrous charging handle with extended latches. The rifle has a standard right-side magazine release, a collapsible stock with an adjustable length-of-pull, and a Daniel Defense overmolded pistol grip.
The package is rounded out with a Daniel Defense vertical foregrip installed on the M-LOK handguard, and the Daniel Defense factory hard case with paperwork.
