The 24-inch heavy-contour stainless barrel is cold hammer-forged with six-groove rifling and a recessed crown, geared for consistency and durability in the .17 WSM chambering. Its 1:9 RH twist supports the cartridge’s high-velocity bullet profiles.
The receiver features integral Ruger scope bases machined in, ready for rings and optics without add-on rails. There are no open sights. A round bolt knob and Ruger’s three-position safety provide familiar 77-series handling.
The walnut stock has bordered checkering for grip, a straight comb, and a rubber buttpad. Sling swivel studs are installed. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, and unscoped weight is about 7.5 lb, offering a steady hold at the bench or in the field.
Ruger’s detachable rotary magazine system feeds a 6+1 capacity in .17 WSM. This rifle includes five 6-round magazines, adding practical value for range use or varmint sessions.
The matte stainless finish over the barrel and action offers a low-glare, weather-resistant surface that complements the classic walnut stock and the straightforward, purpose-built varmint profile.
