The RF-15 uses a direct impingement, semi-automatic action on the AR-15 platform, chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 16-inch barrel. The barrel is threaded.
The upper is a standard design with a forward assist and ejection port cover. Up front, a long, free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard has a slick/vented top and includes only a short Picatinny rail section near the muzzle (not a continuous top rail). No sights are installed.
Furniture is from B5 Systems, including a collapsible stock with a QD sling socket and a matching polymer pistol grip with textured panels. The receivers are aluminum with a black anodized finish, and the rifle is made in the USA.
Controls are straightforward with a standard curved trigger, manual safety, and a standard magazine release. The lower is marked "CALIBER: MULTI," it accepts AR-15/STANAG magazines, and capacity is 30+1. An RF medallion logo is present on the left magwell.
This rifle includes one FN-branded 30-round polymer magazine, and a two-piece polymer oval handguard is also included (not installed). Note: the included two-piece handguard is a standard drop-in type and is not directly compatible with the rifle’s current free-float setup; installation would require a delta ring assembly and front handguard cap, along with removal of the free-float handguard.
