Produced by Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, this SKS-45 retains the core features of the platform: a milled steel receiver, semi-automatic operation with a short-stroke gas piston located above the barrel, and a tilting-bolt lockup. It is chambered in 7.62x39 with an approximately 20.5 in barrel and uses the traditional fixed internal 10-round magazine. The bolt and bolt carrier are in-the-white.
The rifle wears a hardwood stock finished in red-brown shellac with a left-side rear sling swivel and a 12.5 in length of pull. Stock markings include a Tula star over 1950r on the butt and small X-stamps. The gas tube bears electro-pencil markings, a common force-matched refurbishment indicator, and the stock stamp indicates a replacement refurb stock.
Sighting equipment consists of a hooded post front and a tangent rear sight ramp graduated from 100 to 1000 m. This configuration provides the standard SKS sight picture with clear range graduations on the rear unit.
Markings include the receiver import stamp 'RUSSIA SKS 7.62X39 NHM SAC, CA.' The rifle also features an aftermarket receiver-cover scope mount with an integral rail marked 'GUNS–Detroit, Michigan Pat. D367312' and a clamp-on multi-port muzzle brake. In its current setup, the muzzle brake is pinned, which affects bayonet operation as noted in the condition section.
