Built by Sako in 1944, this M/39 uses the cock-on-open Mosin action and a fixed internal 5-round magazine fed via stripper clips. The heavy 27 in barrel is the hallmark of the M39 pattern and pairs with a sturdy bayonet lug assembly at the nose.
The sighting system is the Finnish tangent rear ladder with metric graduations and a base marked with a 2-8 scale, matched to a wing-protected, drift-adjustable front blade. Sighting components reflect typical Finnish manufacture.
The hardwood stock includes a finger groove, crossbolt, rear sling bar with D-ring, and a steel buttplate. Correct Finnish markings are present, including the Sako S-in-gear stock cartouche on the right butt. Length of pull measures 13.5 in.
