The slant-grip (non-"Military") frame gives this Sharpshooter its classic High Standard target profile. The oversized oval trigger guard and smooth curved trigger provide a clean, accessible interface, while the manual safety is positioned for straightforward operation. Rear diagonal cocking serrations on the slide aid in manipulation without adding bulk.
The 5.5 inch heavy, non-ribbed bull barrel features a top flat and a fixed front blade. At the rear, a slide-mounted fully adjustable micrometer drum sight with protective ears delivers precise elevation and windage adjustments. The barrel carries Hamden, Connecticut address markings and gold-filled model rollmarks that highlight its period-correct presentation.
Construction is all steel with a two-tone blued finish: polished/gloss blue on the barrel and slide, and a matte blue/gray on the frame. The checkered walnut grips offer a secure hold and a traditional appearance. Matching serial numbers on the frame and slide confirm factory pairing.
Chambered in .22 LR, the pistol uses a straight blowback action and a single-stack 10+1 capacity. A push-button quick-release barrel system allows fast barrel removal without tools, consistent with High Standard target models of this era.
