What’s Included
- A. Uberti Single Action Army Flattop Target .45 Colt revolver with 5.5 inch Colt New Frontier SAA barrel
This revolver is a custom hybrid: an A. Uberti Single Action Army Flattop Target frame mated to a genuine Colt New Frontier SAA .45 barrel. The frame was made in Italy, and the barrel swap provides classic Colt rollmarks while retaining the Uberti flattop target configuration.
The 5.5 inch Colt barrel is steel and carries the left-side rollmark "COLT NEW FRONTIER S.A.A. .45" with the top address "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO.
HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." The ejector-rod housing is present; the front retaining screw through the barrel lug is missing, and the standard crescent-head ejector rod is in place.
Target-focused features include a flattop topstrap milled for a target-style rear sight and a front sight suited for precise alignment. The flattop profile complements the sights and offers a clean aiming plane.
The revolver retains a blued and color case-hardened finish, with a color case-hardened steel frame and receiver. It uses a six-shot fluted cylinder and runs on a single-action-only mechanism with an exposed hammer and smooth walnut grips.
Importer-marked I.A. DIST. INC. and manufactured in 1973, this six-shot .45 Colt presents a distinctive combination of Colt-marked barrel and Uberti frame in a flattop target format.
