This rifle is an original, factory-built PSL-54C from CN Romarm SA/Cugir in Romania, imported by Century Arms in Georgia, VT. It uses the authentic Romanian factory receiver and original military components. The serial format includes the "-80" year element, and the rifle shows matching serial numbers and assembly digits. The included scope carries its own non-matching serial number, which is standard for arsenal-issued PSL packages.
The PSL features an RPK-length stamped sheet-steel receiver with a smooth top cover and a left-side Warsaw-Pact optic rail. It operates on a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system and feeds from detachable steel 10-round box magazines for a 10+1 capacity. Import stamps read "MADE BY CN ROMARM SA/CUGIR IN ROMANIA" and "IMPORTED CAI GEORGIA, VT."
Its 24.5 in barrel wears a multi-baffle slotted brake, and the front sight base shows circular lightening holes typical of Romanian production. Furniture consists of laminated wood in the Romanian reddish/orange shellac finish: a thumbhole buttstock with a recoil pad and wire sling loop, and two-piece handguards with elongated cooling slots. Length of pull measures 12.5 in.
The included Romanian IOR LPS 4x6° TIP2 4x scope is mounted on the installed AK/PSL side-rail quick-detach mount. The optic uses a stadiametric rangefinder reticle with a 1.7 m scale and a caliber-specific BDC matched to 7.62x54R. A rubber eyecup and objective shade are included to complete the original-style package.
Overall condition is very good with only light handling marks noted, and the bore is excellent with a clean, mirror finish and sharp rifling—consistent with a well-cared-for rifle that presents as an authentic, complete Romanian PSL package.
