The 22-inch sporter-contour barrel is steel, free-floated, and cut with 5R rifling to support consistent accuracy. It is threaded at the muzzle and currently fitted with a three-port stainless muzzle brake for recoil mitigation and quick follow-up sight picture.
The action features a full-diameter three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift for streamlined operation and scope clearance. The 4140 steel receiver is drilled and tapped, and this rifle comes with two-piece Weaver-style bases installed. The receiver is marked "COMPASS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MA USA."
The black synthetic stock incorporates a Monte Carlo comb, aluminum pillar bedding, molded grip panels, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, and the included clamp-on bipod mounts to the forward stud for quick deployment.
