The right slide is marked "U.S. 9mm M9 – ASSY 9346487," and the right frame/dust cover is marked "U.S. 9mm M9 – BERETTA U.S.A. – 65490" (CAGE code). The left slide carries "BERETTA U.S.A.
CORP., GALLATIN, TN – MADE IN USA" with the PB monogram. This example also features the M9- serial number prefix associated with the M9 pattern.
Its operating system is DA/SA, short-recoil with a locking block. Controls include ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decockers with red dots and a firing pin block. A lanyard loop at the heel supports traditional retention setups.
