The Model 760 Gamemaster is a U.S.-made pump-action rifle produced from 1952 to 1980, with approximately 1,034,462 manufactured. This example carries the standard 22-inch steel barrel and a detachable box magazine for a 4+1 capacity. A Remington proof mark is present.
Its action uses dual action bars and a rotating bolt that locks into a barrel extension. This design contributes to smooth cycling and solid lockup while maintaining the rifle’s compact, nimble handling characteristics.
This rifle has been customized with a Pachmayr White Line rubber recoil pad and a one-piece Weaver-style scope base. The factory open sights have been removed; the front sight ramp is absent and the associated screw holes are visible. There are no current iron sights installed.
The stock and forend are wood with a gloss finish. The stock features a Monte Carlo comb, pressed basket-weave checkering, and white-line spacers, with a rear sling swivel stud. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. The barrel wears a blued finish; the receiver is aluminum alloy with a non-blued finish, and a front barrel-band sling attachment is installed for carry versatility.
