Controls and safeties include a single-side (left) thumb safety, an extended beavertail grip safety with a raised palm swell, and a Series II (Swartz) firing pin block. The skeletonized three-hole trigger and Commander-style skeletonized hammer complete the familiar 1911 control layout.
The satin silver 7075-T7 aluminum alloy frame keeps weight down to approximately 31 oz (factory spec) while adding carry-focused details like a smooth front strap (the texture visible is from the Lasergrips’ wraparound activation pad), a flat, checkered mainspring housing, and a beveled magazine well.
