The Model 19-5 is part of the Bill Jordan–inspired Combat Magnum lineage and is built on the S&W K-Frame. This example was manufactured in 1984 and reflects the 19-5 update that omitted the barrel cross-pin and recessed chambers.
It features a 4-inch carbon steel barrel with a serrated top rib and a partial ejector-rod shroud, paired with a six-shot fluted cylinder. The sights are iron, with a ramped front and an adjustable rear, set up for precise aiming with a traditional service-length barrel.
The revolver uses a double-action/single-action system with a smooth-faced trigger. Both the hammer and trigger are case-colored, and the hammer has a checkered spur. The frame, cylinder, and barrel are finished in blued steel, with the frame showing a polished blued treatment.
An aftermarket Hogue rubber monogrip with finger grooves is installed, providing a secure, hand-filling hold. As a Combat Magnum, this configuration mirrors a pattern widely used by U.S. police in the service revolver era.
