The Thompson/Center Pro Hunter FX is a .50 caliber inline muzzleloader built around a fixed, non-interchangeable barrel unique to the FX line. It features a 26 in fluted stainless barrel with Weather Shield protection and a QLA muzzle for easy loading. A Speed Breech 3 hand-removable breech plug, Williams-style fiber-optic sights, and a FlexTech stock with recoil-reducing inserts round out a configuration aimed at dependable field performance.

The Pro Hunter FX uses a fixed 26 in fluted stainless barrel treated with Weather Shield for added protection. T/C’s QLA muzzle simplifies bullet alignment at the crown, and the 1:28 twist with eight-groove rifling is configured for modern .50 caliber projectile selections.
The break-open inline action is operated by a trigger-guard spur that serves as the opening lever, with an external hammer for straightforward operation. A reversible swing-hammer spur offers better clearance and access, and the Speed Breech 3 triple-lead breech plug removes by hand for quick, tool-free cleaning.
Williams-style fiber-optic sights provide a bright sight picture, pairing a green front bead with a red rear ramp. A full-length under-barrel ramrod is carried on the rifle, and integral sling-swivel studs are in place for carry options.
The black composite FlexTech stock uses elastomer inserts and a soft recoil pad to help reduce felt recoil, with rubberized grip and fore-end inserts for secure handling. The Weather Shield matte stainless finish extends to the receiver, and the rifle is made in the USA.
