The Staccato R pairs a metal 2011-style frame with a single-stack .45 ACP feeding setup, delivering 8+1 capacity while retaining classic 1911 magazine compatibility. The pistol is single-action only with an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety.
Its tri-top slide has a flat sighting plane and both forward and rear grasping serrations. Sights are dovetailed: a red fiber-optic front and a serrated, fully adjustable rear, providing a precise and easily serviced sight picture.
Both slide and frame wear a DLC finish. The frame includes an integral accessory rail with one cross-slot. A small U.S.-flag engraving is present on the left side of the frame ahead of the slide stop. Markings include a barrel hood stamped "45 ACP" and a dustcover rollmark "STACCATO • GEORGETOWN, TX USA."
Controls and fire-control parts are performance-oriented, including a skeletonized commander-style hammer and a skeletonized, curved, medium-length trigger with lightening windows and vertical face serrations. The polymer 2011-style grip module features a star-pattern texture for consistent purchase.
