The 16.5 inch steel barrel is button-rifled with a 1:10 RH twist and a non-threaded crowned muzzle that extends forward past the front-sight base. This setup supports reliable accuracy with standard and +P 9mm loads while keeping the muzzle protected.
The TS configuration brings an OD green polymer skeletonized stock with an integral pistol grip, rubber buttplate, and cheek piece. Length of pull is approximately 14.5 inches, contributing to a compact overall length of about 31.1 inches and an unloaded weight around 6.7 lb.
Sighting is handled by a hooded front post and an adjustable rear aperture (ghost-ring). The rear aperture mounts to the top rail and is removable. Multiple factory rails are included, with a right-side rail segment on the handguard and a top rail that serves as a scope mount point if desired.
The action is a simple blowback, striker-fired semi-automatic design with a last-round hold-open. Controls include a grip-mounted magazine release, a manual thumb safety, and a large cylindrical charging handle for positive manipulation. Capacity is 10+1.
The receiver is a black-finished zinc alloy, and the rifle is finished in black with OD green furniture. It is manufactured in the United States and marked Hi-Point Firearms (Strassell's Machine, Inc.), Mansfield, Ohio. The serial number plate is located under the fore-end.
