The DWX Compact combines a single-action, hammer-fired system with a flat, skeletonized trigger. Factory trigger spec is approximately 3.5–4.5 lb, delivering a crisp break suited to precise shooting. A manual thumb safety and a push-button magazine release provide straightforward, familiar controls.
The 4 in bushingless match-grade barrel is marked on the hood with “MATCH” and “9MM.” The slide wears a matte black Duty finish and features front and rear serrations plus top-rib serrations for confident manipulation. Sights are a tritium-illuminated front post paired with a Battlehook fixed wedge-style rear.
The optics-ready slide uses Dan Wesson’s adapter plate system and includes Adapter Plate 1 for RMR-footprint optics. An optics-cut cover plate is fitted when no optic is installed. The rear-sight dovetail spec is 0.250 in x 0.74 in, per the adapter plate packaging.
The forged aluminum alloy frame is anodized and sized for carry-friendly dimensions: 7.47 in overall length, 5.21 in height, and 1.24 in width. Weight is 28.5 oz. A MIL-STD-1913 dustcover rail with six slots supports light or accessory mounting. G10 frag-pattern grip panels with a molded DWX logo complete the package. Capacity is 15+1, and this pistol includes four 15-round magazines.
