This H&R 1871 Pardner Pump Youth/Compact is a 20-gauge pump-action shotgun built with a steel receiver and a 20.5-inch vent-rib barrel. It features a compact 13-inch length of pull, a 3-inch chamber, and a Modified choke installed. Manufactured by Hawk Industries in China for H&R, it uses Remington Rem-Choke tubes and carries a matte dark finish throughout.

The Youth/Compact configuration provides a 13-inch length of pull, molded checkering for control, and a vented recoil pad for a secure shoulder mount. The 20.5-inch vent-rib barrel with a brass bead front sight offers a clear sight picture, and the 3-inch chamber adds versatility in 20-gauge load selection.
The shotgun uses an interchangeable choke system compatible with Remington Rem-Choke tubes and comes with a Modified choke installed. The tube magazine holds 4+1 rounds, and right-side ejection is standard.
Construction is all steel for both the receiver and barrel, finished in a matte dark color. Per factory literature, the action employs dual action bars, with a cross-bolt safety positioned for straightforward operation.
Made by Hawk Industries Co., Ltd. in China for H&R 1871, the receiver profile is similar to an 870-pattern design. The import marking reads "MADE IN CHINA HAWK INDUSTRIES CO. LTD."
