The Express Super Magnum chambering accepts 2 3/4 in, 3 in, and full-length 3 1/2 in 12 gauge shells. The receiver is roll-marked "Remington 870 EXPRESS SUPER MAGNUM," with Remington Arms Company, Inc., Ilion, NY, U.S.A. markings. It uses twin action bars and a cross-bolt safety with right-side ejection.
The 28 in vent-rib barrel carries a single bead front sight and the Rem Choke system. A flush Modified choke is installed. The barrel is marked "12 GA. 2 3/4, 3 or 3 1/2," confirming the 3.5 in chamber capability.
Construction includes a steel receiver with a matte black finish. The stock and forend are hardwood with pressed checkering. The stock is fitted with a ventilated recoil pad, and the length of pull measures 13.75 in.
Sling provisions are built in via the front magazine-cap stud and the rear buttstock stud. A two-point nylon web sling with quick-detach swivels is already installed, providing carry-ready convenience.
