    What’s Included
    • Remington Rand M1911A1 U.S. Army .45 ACP pistol
    • One 7-round GI-pattern single-stack steel magazine with witness holes

Marked 'UNITED STATES PROPERTY' and 'M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY' on the frame, this pistol retains the late-war two-line Remington Rand Syracuse slide legend. The frame shows the FJA inspector initials on the left side and the Ordnance crossed-cannon final acceptance mark at the right rear. A small assembler/inspection '5' appears on the trigger guard.

The pistol follows the A1 pattern with frame relief cuts, an arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and a short trigger. Controls include a slide stop and a small, checkered thumb safety, along with a short checkered spur hammer. It uses the standard GI barrel bushing and a checkered recoil-spring plug.

Built on a full-size carbon steel frame and slide with a parkerized finish, it is chambered in .45 ACP with a 5 inch carbon steel barrel. Sights are the fixed GI pattern, pairing a staked front blade with a narrow square-notch rear. Brown checkered plastic grips with reinforcing rings complete the period-correct exterior.

Operation is single-action with a short-recoil tilting-barrel system and a 7+1 capacity. As a 1945 production example from the largest M1911A1 contractor of WWII, it represents the late-war configuration many collectors seek from U.S.-issue pistols.
