The Athena runs a proven 2011 single-action, hammer-fired system with ambidextrous thumb safety and grip safety. Controls include a flat-faced, skeletonized trigger shoe that is documented by the factory test sheet as breaking under 2 lb, along with a skeletonized hammer and an extended, flared magwell for fast reloads. The aggressive pyramidal grip texture provides confident purchase.
Its tri-top slide features lightening windows and relief cuts, plus a direct-milled optic interface labeled RMR/SRO R2 (M4x0.7). A green fiber-optic front sight is installed; no rear sight is installed on this slide. The barrel hood is marked PERFECT ZERO.
The full-length 1913 Picatinny frame rail offers broad accessory compatibility. The pistol uses a 9 lb recoil spring per the factory sheet. Capacity is 20+1 with the included magazines (one 20-round and one 17-round).
