The STT-15 uses San Tan Tactical billet 7075-T651 aluminum upper and lower receivers with precise machining and clean lines, finished in desert camouflage. Markings include the SAN TAN TACTICAL raised magwell logo, the "ST" monogram on the upper, and a U.S. flag on the lower. It accepts standard AR-15 magazines and is stated at 30+1 capacity.
The 10.5 inch barrel is capped with an A2-style birdcage flash hider on a threaded muzzle. Direct-impingement operation keeps the profile trim, while a pistol receiver extension with a foam sleeve provides a comfortable rear interface without adding bulk.
A free-float M-LOK handguard offers modern accessory mounting with minimized weight. It features a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail for sights and optics plus an installed M-LOK QD sling mount. Low-profile flip-up Magpul MBUS Pro sights are installed for immediate use with or without the optic.
Controls and ergonomics are well-appointed: an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, ambidextrous safety selector, an enhanced bolt catch with a dimpled face, a flat-faced skeletonized trigger, and a B5 Systems pistol grip. A two-point sling with a front QD swivel is installed; the front interfaces with the handguard's installed M-LOK QD sling mount, while the rear is threaded through the fixed endplate loop.
