The RRAGE configuration pairs an extruded flat-top slick-side upper with no forward assist and a dust cover with an abbreviated case deflector. The lower is marked "ROCK RIVER ARMS RRAGE," and the rifle uses standard, non-ambidextrous AR-15 controls with a right-hand ejection pattern and a standard magazine release.
Its 16 in chrome-moly steel barrel is roll-marked "RRA 5.56 NATO 1/8 CM," uses a 1:8 twist to accommodate a broad range of 5.56 NATO loads, and is threaded with an A2-pattern birdcage flash suppressor. A low-profile gas block sits under the handguard.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a top rail provides modern accessory mounting while maintaining a rigid, lightweight front end. Furniture includes a Rock River Arms 6-position CAR-style collapsible stock with a toe sling loop and an A2 polymer pistol grip. The matte black aluminum receivers deliver a cohesive finish.
An EOTech 512.A65 holographic sight with a ring-dot reticle is installed for rapid sighting, and flip-up front and rear backup sights are in place. Two 30-round polymer magazines are included (one Amend2 and one Rock River Arms), and the rifle uses a STANAG-pattern magazine interface.
