The FNX-45 Tactical pairs a Flat Dark Earth slide and polymer frame with a 5.3-inch extended, threaded stainless barrel. The barrel uses a .578x28 TPI pattern with a 1:16 RH twist and includes a thread protector, aligning with its suppressor-ready design.
The optics-ready slide is cut for miniature red-dot sights and ships with a Trijicon RMR mounting plate. Suppressor-height, raised 3-dot tritium night sights provide a clear view over a mounted device, with a 6.4-inch sight radius for precise alignment.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release. The DA/SA, hammer-fired system features a skeletonized ring hammer. The frame incorporates a beavertail and a lanyard eyelet at the rear heel of the grip behind the magazine well, aggressive grip checkering with FN medallions, and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail on the dustcover.
