This Detroit Armament, LLC T91 blends a WOLF A1 T91-pattern piston upper with a Detroit Armament, LLC lower to deliver a proven short-stroke gas piston system in an AR-15 platform. The upper was produced by Taiwan's 205th Armory for Wolf Performance Arms and features the captured, front-removable "Rapid-Clean" piston module. A 16 inch cold-hammer-forged, nitride-treated 4150 steel barrel, threaded 1/2x28 with a birdcage flash suppressor, rounds out a durable and practical build.

The rifle is an assembled, non-factory configuration pairing the WOLF A1 T91-pattern piston upper with a Detroit Armament, LLC lower. The short-stroke system uses a captured, front-removable "Rapid-Clean" piston module that is characteristic of the T91 pattern and was produced by Taiwan's 205th Armory for Wolf Performance Arms. Roll marks include "WOLF A1" and a circular "5.56×45mm" stamp on the upper, with Chinese roll marks "5.56公厘T91步槍" and "美國製造" on the lower.
The 16 inch barrel is made from 4150 steel, cold-hammer-forged and nitride-treated for durability and corrosion resistance. It has a 1:7 twist for stabilizing common 5.56 loads and is threaded 1/2x28 with a birdcage flash suppressor. The rifle uses a manual safety selector and an aluminum receiver set.
Furniture includes a collapsible M4-pattern stock with a 13.5 inch length of pull and an A2-style pistol grip. The two-piece T91-pattern polymer handguard complements the piston system while keeping the front end robust and easy to service.
Sighting and interface features include an integrated front sight/gas block, with no rear sight included. The rifle uses the STANAG magazine interface and provides rail and scope-mount provision. A sling loop is located below the front sight/gas block.
