The Carry 12 delivers double-stack .45 ACP capacity in a compact 1911 platform. Its 3.5 in barrel, 7 in overall length, 5 in height, and 34 oz weight make it a short-slide, compact-format 1911 with a 12+1 capacity. The double-column grip frame supports the higher capacity while maintaining familiar 1911 ergonomics.
Para’s LDA system provides a double-action-only, hammer-fired, short-recoil mechanism with a pivoting trigger and a bobbed, spurless external hammer. Safety features include a grip safety, a manual thumb safety, and a firing pin safety. This example features an internal 1911‑type extractor and is from the LDA series.
The pistol is built on a stainless steel frame with a stainless slide, finished with brushed flats and matte rounds. It wears fixed sights with a front white-dot blade and a rear square-notch. Black checkered polymer grips with a molded Para logo, a beveled magazine well, and a vertically serrated mainspring housing round out the controls and handling features.
The 3.5 in barrel uses 6-groove, left-hand rifling with a 1:16 twist. Markings on the slide, frame, and chamber include "Carry 12," "Para LDA," the Para logo, and "MADE IN CANADA."
Country of origin is Canada, and the model designation is CTX1245N. Included factory documentation and the labeled hard case add useful provenance tied to its mid-2000s production, with paperwork dated August 23, 2005.
