The SBL package pairs a stainless receiver and barrel with a gray/black laminate stock and matching forend. Checkering at the pistol grip and forend provides a positive hold, while a rubber recoil pad and sling swivel studs add practical field features. The stock includes the Marlin bullseye inlay.
The 16.25 inch barrel is 410 stainless and cold hammer forged, threaded 5/8x24, and capped with a thread protector. Sighting is fast and clear thanks to an adjustable ghost-ring rear and a protected high-visibility front blade.
A full-length Picatinny optics rail spans the receiver and barrel, giving broad mounting latitude. The solid-top, side-eject receiver retains the classic lever-gun layout with an external hammer and a cross-bolt safety.
Handling is compact and balanced with an overall length of about 33.25 inches, a 13.5 inch length of pull, and weight around 6.3 lb. The large-loop lever provides ample clearance and smooth cycling.
The tubular magazine holds 8 rounds of .44 Magnum (and 9 rounds of .44 Special). This configuration is the SBL series, manufactured in the United States, and identified by Marlin part number 70432.
