The CZ 85 Combat is a DA/SA, short-recoil, locked-breech, hammer-fired pistol built on a steel frame with internal slide rails for a low-bore-axis feel and smooth cycling. The beavertail frame and external hammer provide familiar CZ ergonomics and control.
Its sighting system pairs a front dot with a fully adjustable rear sight featuring micrometer U/R markings, allowing precise windage and elevation adjustments. The slide also carries a serrated anti-glare top rib to reduce reflections.
Controls are set up for ambidextrous use with a slide stop and manual safety on both sides. The model uses a manual thumb safety and has no decocker. The overtravel-adjustable trigger supports fine-tuning to shooter preference.
The Combat variant deletes the firing pin block and the magazine brake, resulting in drop-free magazines. Capacity is 16+1 in 9mm Luger, supported by a 4.7 inch barrel and a full-size profile.
Fit and finish include a two-tone, light matte presentation. Markings include MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC and CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS. This example has matching serials on the slide and frame.
