This SMG-45 uses LWRCI's proprietary short-recoil/delayed-blowback operating system with a moving barrel, engineered specifically for .45 ACP. The 8.5 inch cold hammer-forged CrMoV steel barrel provides durability, with .578x28 RH threads for standard .45 ACP muzzle devices.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the selector and bolt catch, with a paddle-style magazine release for intuitive operation. The charging handle is non-reciprocating, folds when not in use, and can be reversed to either side.
A full-length numbered Picatinny top rail runs the receiver for mounting, and the slotted M-LOK-style handguard accepts compatible accessories. The pistol includes flip-up front and rear iron sights for immediate use.
The factory-installed side-folding brace, paired with LWRCI's adapter, enhances portability while maintaining control. The receiver is marked MULTI-CAL, and the platform accepts HK UMP-pattern .45 ACP magazines (U.S.-made for the commercial model). Made in the U.S.A., this pistol carries mfg part number SMG45.
