The heart of this 1301 Tactical is its Steelium tri-alloy steel barrel. At 18.5 in, it is cold-hammer-forged and paired with an extended forcing cone to promote smooth shot transition. The barrel, magazine, and clamp assembly extend nearly to the muzzle for full-length capacity management.
Its gas system is the Beretta B-Link design, and this example includes user-focused controls: an extended charging handle and an enlarged, textured bolt-release paddle. A reversible cross-bolt safety supports left- or right-side preference.
This pre-Mod.2 configuration retains the earlier smooth-profile, long polymer forend and a matte black/grey aluminum-alloy receiver. Markings include BERETTA – GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY and an IT21 stamp on the receiver, with BERETTA USA CORP GALLATIN TN on the barrel.
Duty-style sights are factory-configured with a protected front post and an integral ghost-ring rear on the receiver-top MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. The extended tubular magazine offers 7+1 capacity and secures with a two-piece barrel/magazine clamp that includes an integral sling loop.
The installed Mesa Tactical fixed pistol-grip stock provides a 12.0 in length of pull and a rear sling point. Mesa Tactical branding is present on the stock and recoil pad.
